Join us this March as we honor Trans Month and celebrate Trans Day of Visibility (March 31st) with a month-long series of empowering events! From social gatherings and art nights to legal workshops and health-focused discussions, these events aim to uplift, support, and provide essential resources for the Trans and gender-expansive community, as well as their allies.
⚖️ March 8 – Legal Services of NorCal: Know Your Rights Night
The Know Your Rights training presented by Legal Services of Northern California on Saturday, March 8th at 1pm. During this event a legal attorney will be able to give information about passport rights, healthcare rights and more.
🏳️⚧️March 11 – Q&A Panel for Parents of Trans Youth
Parent's Panel is the opportunity to talk to parents of trans people and professionals who work with trans individuals. his popular annual event is a great chance to get questions answered, hear information and advice that can directly benefit your parenting (or caregiving) and connect with other parents or caregivers for peer support. 🪪 March 20 – Legal Name & Gender Marker Change Workshop
Swing into the Stonewall Office March 20th and learn about the Name Change and Gender marker process. Learn about fee waivers and what to expect plus new ways to file with the Transgender Privacy Protection Act.
🧵March 28 - Clothing Swap
Stonewall will be hosting a clothing Swap March 28th at the Stonewall office. Bring clothes that you are ready to swap and exchange. During the clothing swap we have Jacob's Tutor 4 Tailoring class, where Jacob will help teach how to hem and alter clothing! (Supplies are limited and if possible bring extra needles and threads.) During the clothing swap you can enter a raffle where we will pull four winners to get a free voucher for a gender-affirming haircut from the fabulous Allison Bowers! Swing by Stonewall office to celebrate community.
🧑🏫March 30 - Educator Panel
Educators welcome! Want to learn how to better support LGBTQ+ students from 6th-12th grade. Stonewall has gathered educators locally and further away who have been making there classroom a safe space. This will be taking place at Enloe Conference Center: 1528 Esplanade, Chico, CA 95926.
