2nd Annual Black History Month Pop-

The @aafccoroville and @stonewallchico are pleased to announce our collaboration for our 2nd Annual Black History Month Pop-Up Event! Featuring a wildly talented lineup of local Black vendors, chefs, artists, performers, and speakers PLUS free nonprofit services, information, and community for all. Mark your calendar for Saturday, February 11th and meet us at the Stonewall Lot at the corner of Orient & 6th streets in Chico from 10am-2pm for a day full of learning, supporting, enjoying, growing, celebrating, and togetherness. All are welcome-- watch our pages for more details to follow!

Open call for Black vendors, makers, artisans and artists! February 2022 introduces the First Annual

black history month parking lot pop-up

Stonewall Chico is proud to partner with the African American Family & Cultural Center to present the Black History Month Parking Lot Pop-Up.

On Saturday, Feb 5th from 10am-2pm in the Stonewall Lot on Orient & 6th streets, come support local Black small businesses, artists, and performers, and buy a special hand-printed Stonewall tee to help replenish the QTPOC Direct Aid Fund.

This event will feature music, performance, speech, art and craft for sale, and delicious food for sale plus a free onsite COVID-19 vaccine booster clinic by Northern Valley Indian Health and free onsite HIV and Hepatitis C Testing by Stonewall.

Our lineup includes:
Live performances from 10am-12pm by speakers Dr. Lesa Johnson and David Phillips of Justice 4 Desmond, musician Scout the Wise, spoken word poets Cory Himp Hunt, Taifa Jamari, Daelin Whitaker, live artist Simbala Desille, and AAFCC’s Dance Diverse youth team
with DJ James Dixon spinning from 12pm-2pm

Art and Style vending from Beads by Rey, Hoops by Anastasia, Macrame by Raina, J Threads Clothing, Beads by Gabbi, and Scout the Illustrator

Live-printed Tees by Pedal Press, who are donating all profits to the Stonewall QTPOC Direct Aid Fund

Freshly prepared food from Black Wal Street Café, Adrianna's Bakery, and Qia’s Quisine

With booths, information, and services from Black in Butte, African American Family & Cultural Center, Stonewall Alliance of Chico, and Northern Valley Indian Health.
