Stonewall Chico Pride is the largest LGBTQ+ event between Sacramento and the Oregon border, and one of the biggest annual festivals in the Butte County area. It’s a celebration of diversity; uniting, strengthening and affirming the LGBTQ+ Community and our allies. Our Pride typically has 4 days packed full of events for all ages, interests, identities and walks of life. Chico Pride usually pulls in between 5,000 and 7,000 attendees each year.

Chico Pride has taken place in August or September in the past, and will be planned for June in 2022.

Chico Pride 2020 was fully physically distanced, with events taking place exclusively online, at home, and in safely distanced outdoor locations. We take the health and safety of our community very seriously and encourage everyone to maintain safe distances so that we can have all the celebrations we deserve together again soon.

Stonewall Chico Pride is planned by a team of around 20 volunteers, community partners and Stonewall staff, interns, and board members. It is chaired by Stonewall’s on-staff Event Coordinator, and hosted by Stonewall Alliance- Chico’s nonprofit LGBTQ+ center.

All proceeds go toward funding Stonewall Alliance’s nonprofit programs including free and confidential HIV testing, low to no cost counseling, social and support groups, advocacy and training, and more.
