Site hours: M-F 7:30 am-5 pm. Willows appointments on Mondays from 8:50 am-3:30pm.

Description:  Our addiction medicine specialist in Willows has limited openings for new patients on Mondays. MAT services include Buprenorphine and Naltrexone. No Methadone.

For Chico locations, Natives can call at any time to establish care with a provider. For non-Natives to establish care, the best thing to do is to call at the beginning of every month to ask if we are accepting new patients. A Chico provider may offer MAT themselves, or they may refer the patient to our specialist in Willows.

We also provide SUD counseling, harm reduction supplies, and other resources at all locations. Counseling is not required of our MAT patients.

Payment type: Medi-Cal, Medicare, almost all private insurance, sliding scale, self-pay.

If uninsured: Assistance for all underinsured and uninsured patients seeking medication assisted treatment for opioid or stimulant use available in Willows. Assistance for patients Native to California at all locations.

AEGIS TREATMENT CENTER

Description: Provides outpatient treatment for substance use disorders through suboxone and methadone treatment. Offers 21-day detoxification, 180-day detoxification and maintenance treatment programs for opiate addiction. Includes individual and group counseling as well as case management services. All services are outpatient.

Fees: Fees vary. Call for more information. Medi-Cal is accepted and sliding scale fee is available for self-pay.

Payment type: Medi-Cal, Private Insurance, Hub & Spoke (H&S) Grant, and Uninsured.

If uninsured: Patient may qualify for the 21st Century CURES Act (need to contact Clinic Manager) If patient does not qualify for financial aid with fees: Cash pay: $600/month for Suboxone program. $300/month for Methadone program.

AMPLA HEALTH

Description: Provides outpatient treatment for substance use disorders through suboxone treatment and group counseling services.

Eligibility: Individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders. Eligible individuals must be registered patients at any Ampla location.

Ages served: Ages 18 and older.

Fees: Fees vary depending on insurance type and other criteria.

Payment type: Medi-Cal, Medicare, private insurance, and private pay. 

If Uninsured: sliding scale will be applied per service.

Who can refer: Self-Referral and Professional Referral.

Please note: Individuals accessing the program must be a patient at any AMPLA center and enroll in the Suboxone program. Group Counseling is provided one day a week for "at least a couple months", then two days a month for "a couple months", and then one day a month thereafter. Patient will receive tox screen each visit.

BUTTE COUNTY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SUBSTANCE USE TREATMENT AND RECOVERY SERVICES

Description: Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals facing substance abuse challenges. Treatment includes individual and group counseling. Now offers Suboxone Therapy. Referral to community resources such as residential treatment, Outpatient treatment, sober living environments, and self-help groups are also provided.

Payment type: Medi-Cal Anthem Blue Cross, Medi-Cal California Health and Wellness.

BUTTE COUNTY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH: STEPPING STONES PERI-NATAL AND PARENTING WOMEN PROGRAM

Program Hours: M-F: 8 am - noon. 1 pm - 5 pm.

Description: Provides comprehensive treatment for mothers seeking recovery from addiction. Offers outpatient alcohol and drug treatment, group and individual counseling, and education about a variety of health-related topics. Additionally, the program provides case management, parenting skills classes, child development education, and referral to other services. Transportation is offered to treatment and group meetings for moms living outside of Oroville and childcare is provided during meetings for children younger than five (5).

Eligibility: Pregnant or parenting women with substance abuse use or history. Can be self-referred or referred by Butte County Children's Services or Treatment Court.

Ages Served: 10 and over.

Payment Type: Medi-Cal Anthem Blue Cross, Medi-Cal California Health and Wellness, Medi-Care.

Service Entry: Call office or walk in to schedule an appointment.

Who Can Refer: Self-Referral, Professional Referral.

THERAPEUTIC SOLUTIONS

Description: Provides outpatient treatment for substance use disorders using suboxone treatment and educational support.

Eligibility: Existing patients of Therapeutic Solutions with substance use disorders are eligible for the program. Most private insurance providers are accepted.

Ages served: Ages 14 and older.

Fees: Fees vary depending on insurance coverage. Call for more information.

Payment type: Medicare, Medicare with a Medi-Cal Supplement, and private insurance accepted.

If uninsured: Cost is $20,000/month for cash patients.

Service entry: Referral for appointment only.

Referral process description: Patient must calls to make appointment for assessment. Assessment in 4-6 weeks (same assessment as new medical patient.)

Who can refer: Self-Referral

*Please note: Dr. Abouesh or Dr. Lofty meets with patient and assesses level of need. Patient will either be seen monthly for medication management or placed in the counseling program. The counseling program is five days a week; M-F 5 pm - 8 pm for 4-8 weeks. There is typically a delay between assessment and program attendance due to prior authorization required from insurance carrier.
